Head Coach

Marcello Santelli has been coaching in the Valley for the past 5 years, his passion for helping student athletes excel on and off the court is infectious. He played 3 seasons overseas in Milan, as a Point Guard. Marcello's ability to lead and empower, inspires all who are around him.
During COVID, Marcello embarked on his coaching journey. The last 5 years, Marcello led his team to a Division 1 State Champions, as head coach, with Ridgeline Academy in 2022. In the 2024-25 Season in the Open Division Champions, as Assistant Coach, for Millennium High School.
He also assisted in nurturing and developing players skills and fundamentals, sending multiple student athletes to the next level.
While honored as 2 time "Coach of the Year", he is no stranger to the game. He is ready to get to work in The Cave Creek community.
"I am excited to head up Cactus Shadows High School Womens Basketball Program! I'm looking forward to growing these student athletes on and off the court. The culture that we are about to embark on is a Culture of Excellence. I can't wait to get to work! Lots of positivity coming our way, and we are ready to spread our wings and fly. Get ready, Falcons!
