Senior Events Timeline
This year is going to be full of excitement and lots of memories. Make sure to stay focused, do your best and most importantly…have FUN! Below are a set of important dates you will need to mark on your calendars.

August
- Meet with your counselor and review ECAp-be sure you are on track to graduate.
- Register for ACT (act.org) and/or SAT (collegeboard.com) for initial testing or retake for those who need it for university admission or scholarships. Students will need to check college websites to see if needed.
- Begin applying to colleges of your choice.
- Pre-sale yearbooks are now available to purchase.You can purchase them in the bookstore or online at the link. The price is $75.00 Until August 31st. Our school code is 16423 https://www.yearbookordercenter.com/index.cfm/job/16423
- August 28th - Welcome back senior meeting during your econ/Government class. If you do not have an econ/Government class please plan to attend during your first hour class.
- August 30th - Senior Splash, during your English class.

September
- University and out of state university students - finalize your list of potential colleges and check application deadlines. Apply, Apply, Apply! (Do not wait for test scores)
- September 1st - Yearbooks are available to purchase.You can purchase them in the bookstore or online with the link below, school code 16423. The price is $85.00 until 12/3 https://www.yearbookordercenter.com/index.cfm/job/16423
- September 2nd: Labor Day (No school)
- September 6th - Club Rush on the Quad from 11:30 AM until 12:15 PM
- September 12th & 13 Senior Picture Day @ CSHS Library (boys wear plain white t-shirt, girls wear tank top)
- September 20th - Senior Sunrise 5:30 AM, CSHS football field
- September 27th Quarter 1 Ends
- September 30th - Fall Break (No School)
October
- Complete university applications, especially out -of-state. Check college websites and know their deadlines
- October 1st - 4th - Fall Break (No School)
- October 7th - Josten’s Senior Meeting 7:15 AM - 1:15 PM in the Lecture Hall. Econ/Gov if you do not have one attend 1st hour.
- October 11th - Senior picture retake day @ CSHS
- October 15th - Powder Puff Game (Jr vs Sr.) CSHS Football Field - Followed by the Falcon Feast
- October 16th - DEADLINE to turn in your guest pass for the Homecoming dance.
- October 18th - Homecoming Game 7:00 Pm Falcon Football Field (Royalty Court and Halftime Fireworks)
- October 19th - Homecoming Dance 7:00PM - 9:00PM
November
- If you are planning to live on campus for college, check the housing deadlines and deposit due dates with colleges.
- Continue applying for colleges and universities if you have not completed them.
- November 11th: Veterans Day (No School)
- November 13th - CSHS Early Signing Day Ceremony 10:30AM - 11:15AM
- November 27th - 29th - Thanksgiving Break (No school)
- November 30th: DEADLINE Senior yearbook ads are due. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made.
December
- Finish College applications if you have not done so already.
- FAFSA will be released in phases; the first one is Dec. Get your federal student aid I.D. number and complete
- the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) www.fafsa.ed.gov (Federal Grant money is first come, first serve.) This is how you start the process for receiving aid.
- December 1st-$60.00 graduation fee payments can be made at the bookstore or online through PowerSchool beginning December 1st. The deadline for payment is March 21st.
- December 9th - Senior headshot picture due to Dorian Studios. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. If you do not get your headshot by this date, you will not be in the yearbook.
- December 18th-20th - Semester one final exams - Final Exam Schedule
- Continue applying for colleges and universities if you have not completed them.
- December 20th - Quarter 2 Ends
- December 23rd - 31st - Winter Break (No School)
January
- January 1st-5th - Winter Break (No School)
- January 1/1 - Yearbooks are available to purchase. You can purchase them in the bookstore or online with the link. The price is $95.00 until the close out date. School code 16423 https://www.yearbookordercenter.com/index.cfm/job/16423
- January 6th - School resumes. Second semester begins.
- January 20th - MLK Day (No school)
- Continue applying for colleges and universities if you have not completed them.
- Begin collecting and submitting scholarship award letters even if you're NOT attending that college. We collect and report all your scholarship offers , even to the colleges you don’t go to. You will submit this information to Mrs. Gallardo in the counseling department or online with a scholarship student input form.
February

- ASVAB Test (For those interested in military;
- February 5th - CSHS Spring Signing Day Ceremony 10:30AM - 11:15AM Lecture Hall
- February 17th - Presidents Day (No school)
March
- Continue collecting and submitting scholarship award letters, Submit to Mrs. Gallardo in the Counseling office or use this link.
- Complete application, Placement tests, and register for classes for community college admittance.
- March 3rd - DEADLINE Senior Posters are due - You may drop them off in front office.
- March 5th - College and Career Fair, CSHS campus
- March 7th - Quarter 3 ends
- March 10th-14th - Spring Break (No School)
- March 17th - PTO will start hanging senior posters. Please click here for instructions.
- March 18th - Mandatory Senior Meeting - Graduation information (Periods 1-5 Econ/Gov or 1st hour)
- March 21st- $60.00 graduation fee deadline. Payments can be made at the bookstore or online through PowerSchool.
April
- Begin preparing for AP exams if you are taking them in May.
- All comment letters must be turned into the Athletic Director.
- April 4th - DEADLINE all pictures for the prom slideshow must be turned in NO EXCEPTIONS. Submit pictures to cshspics@ccusd93.net
- April 11th - ALL outstanding debts must be paid to the bookstore (You will NOT be able to pick up your cap & gown or prom tickets until you are debt free.)
- April 11th - Jostens will be on campus to hand out cap & gowns from 11:30am - 12:30 PM, Lecture Hall.
- April 18th - April Break (No school).
- April 12th - Prom 7PM - 9PM
- April 22nd - DEADLINE all scholarship award letters must be turned in to Mrs. Gallardo in the counseling office.
- April 25th - Senior Panoramic Picture Day 8:30AM - 10:30AM - CSHS football field.
May
- May 5th - Kiwanis Scholarship night.
- May 6th - Senior Awards 9AM - 11AM, CSHS Blue Gym. For questions, email Mrs. Gallardo
- May 12th-14th - Senior Final Exams Final Exam Schedule
- May 12th - DEADLINE - ALL pictures for the graduation slideshow must be turned in NO EXCEPTIONS (If you do not get your picture in by May 12th it will NOT be included in the graduation ceremony)
- May 13th - Senior Sunset @ 6:45PM CSHS football field.
- May 14th - Senior Checkout Day ALL senior debts must be paid and items returned (Your debts MUST be paid to Participate in the graduation ceremony)
- May 15th - Mandatory graduation practice from 7:30AM - 11:30AM in the blue gym.
- May 16th - Senior Breakfast 8:30 AM - 9:45 AM, cafeteria. $25.00 per student pay in the bookstore.
- May 16th - Parade of schools 9:45 AM - 11:30 AM @ STMS and elementary schools.
- May 21st Quarter 4 Ends
- May 21st - Graduation - Desert Diamond Arena 6:00 PM
- May 21st - Falcon Farewell at Chicken N Pickle immediately after graduation until 1AM.
