I am honored to introduce myself as the new principal of Cactus Shadows High School. I could not be more excited to join this community and to get to work alongside our students, teachers, and families.
I come to Cactus Shadows with 15 years in education; 11 years teaching high school economics, government, and U.S. history and four years in administration, most recently at Sedona Red Rock Jr/Sr High School. What has always driven me is a deep belief that every student deserves to feel smart, capable, and valued. These are the years when young people develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will take them where they need to go, and helping each student find their genius is at the heart of everything we do.
It is my promise to you that every decision we make will be centered around our students. We are committed to preparing them to be responsible, skilled, and engaged citizens; ready for college, a career, and everything that comes after.
I also believe deeply that great schools are built on great partnerships. I am committed to working closely with our teachers, families, and community partners, and building trusting relationships grounded in honest, open communication. You deserve to know what's happening at this school, and I plan to keep you informed every step of the way..
